Meherazad 19 January 1962 Dear Matajee, We received your letter and it was read out to Baba. Yesterday we received dear Amiya's third letter. But before receiving that letter, already its proper reply had been sent to Amiya. And in that reply is also the reply for this letter. Even then I again inform as follows: Baba frees dear Amiya from the pledge he had taken, and wants that he should marry when he gets a good well-behaved and capable girl. Amiya is Baba's dear son, and his child-like nature is very much liked by Baba. Baba is happy with His son Amiya, and Baba's nazar is always on His son Amiya. Baba's nazar is always on Amiya, you and Sister Sumona. Amiya is very dear to Baba, and his soft and child-like obstinacy of his heart gives Baba great joy. Baba sends His love to His dear Amiya, to Sumona, to the children and to you, and Baba wants you all to remain happy in His love. Jai Baba Affectionately yours, Bhau My dear Amiya, Received your letter of 15th Jan. and it was read out to Beloved Baba. Although in seclusion, Baba took interest in you because of His Love for you and He wants you not to worry for such petty thing. He makes you free from the pledge you have taken and wants you to marry when you get a suitable loving girl of your choice. Baba did not get annoyed with your letter, and on the contrary, He put a loving smile when it was read out to Him. So, be happy and cheerful knowing well that you are very dear to Beloved Baba. Baba sends His love to His dear son and wants him to know that he is always under His care and protection. With regards, Affectionately yours, Bhau Amiya remarks that this letter closely preceded his marriage to Gauri. Amiya's mother was coercing him into getting married. But, as events were to unfold, it was to prove not easy for Amiya's mother because the daughter in law was not much to her liking. Amiya says, whimsically, that he could hear the sound of the marriage celebration when he read this letter. |
