Meherazad 9th January 1968 Dear Amiya, We received your letter, and I have sent a letter to Sister Gauri. Dear Meher Kumar will definitely be all right because Baba's nazar is on him, and you have not to worry about it at all. Wherever you have been to in order to do His work, we have received information from those places that your lectures have been very touching and full of feeling. You create such a pain in the hearts of the audience, and they are deeply impressed by your speeches. So you fearlessly go on speaking open heartedly about Baba and never feel shy1. Your art is the personification of your love for Baba and it is bound to have an impact on people. We send you and Matajee our loving Jai Baba and we send dear Mehernandini our love. P.S. Received your letter of 31st December. It is a matter of pleasure to know that Mehernandini is very mischievous. Mischievousness is a very good quality. 1. Amiya: "This was a problem for me. I never wanted to speak about Baba, for that matter [to speak at all] except on English subjects like Shakespeare and Shelley. I felt it silly to try to explain to people about Baba. I hardly had any philosophy. Only, I was awestruck. But Baba said, all the time, 'now you speak.'" |
