Dear Amiya1,
Your letter of 11th June was received, but as reading out of letters to Baba has been absolutely stopped, we could not read out to Beloved Baba.
You should give up thinking about the problem of sexual desires and lust. Because the more you will try to think about this problem, and try to control the lustful desires, the more lustful desires will come to you and they will become more and more intense. Therefore you should instead pay attention to thinking about Baba, more and more, and leave the idea of controlling lust and sexual desires. If you do as I ask you to do, then by itself the sexual desires and lustfulness will become deadened, and we will not have to think about how to control sexual desires. Sexual desires are really not at all good desires, and it is absolutely necessary to be liberated from these desires, but it is a very very difficult thing to do. If Baba gives His nazar and grace, it becomes very easy, but His nazar will fall on anyone only when it is time for it to fall. Therefore instead of thinking about sexual desires and the problem of sex, you start concentrating only on Baba, and thinking about Baba, and be absolutely natural and allow whatever happens to you in a natural way, let it happen. You should understand that it is useless to pay attention to these things. If you think of scoring a victory over lust, and make all efforts for it, then you are surely going to lose the battle. Therefore, you totally stop thinking about it, and try to become centred in Baba. That is the only way through which we can conquer not only lust, but all kinds of desires and get rid of them.
To get liberated from all kinds of desires is not through thinking about them and trying to control them. These are not the ways to do it. No external effort will be of any use in controlling these desires. Only when we totally devote ourselves to Baba, and remember Baba all the time, all the controlling power automatically and in a spontaneous way starts coming to you, and the roots of desires get shaken, and the trees of desires will be uprooted.
Therefore you do not have to worry about anything. You just give more and more time to Baba inside your heart, keep Him inside your heart, and keep busy thinking of Him. And also whatever happens, and whatever activities you indulge in, you go on dedicating them to Baba and become free from worries. It is absolutely true that one who becomes a slave of Baba no longer remains a slave of desires. Therefore, you just remember Baba. You do all Baba work as far as it is possible for you to do. You also remember that you have to acquit yourself well and ably so far as your college duties are concerned and also responsibilities at home -- household responsibilities have to be cleared. And you rather concentrate on these things and forget about how to control lust, and how to conquer lust. It will all go away in Baba's contact, and the shackles will get loosened in times to come.
